Installation tips:How do I secure the screws?
We recommend use Power Tools when mounting the screws, it gets the job done easier. As the Package does not come with mounting screws for the inside bracket.
So pls use original screws when **** the bottom piece off then 4 screws to the hinge, re install bottom cover and done!
Q: Does this come with the latch?
A: Yes it **** is brand New Replacement Center Console Lid w-Latch. Not just the leather cover. It comes with latch to replace the old ones.
Q: If the original armrest is a different style will this replace it and bolt directly in?
A: No it will not fit if it s a different style, lids are not interchangeable
Q: The base plate (under piece plastic) seems hard to detach from original setup, how can I proceed?
A: This is just the lid covers, no hardware is needed. You can lift up your old console unit and you will see 4 main screws on the end of the back of the console, which is known as the joint.
Just remove those, use the same screws to put the new one **** not use brute force to separate each other, you might damage the tabs on the original bottom piece if you are not careful.
